ALL students need to complete the following three tasks. Please print off and hand in to be marked. Remember to put your name on each piece of paper:

1.Research a current scientific news story (try to avoid the obvious one if you can!) and create an A4 poster.
You must:
•present your work in your own words
•avoid using too much text
•illustrate using pictures/diagrams
•be prepared to present your poster to your peers during your first lesson.
2.Use the ‘AQA Transition guide for Biology’. There is a general introduction followed by activities. Please complete all the activity questions (these start on P9).
3.10% of the marks for A level Biology will assess mathematical skills at higher tier GCSE level. Use the powerpoints and notes to complete the work sheets on Units and Standard Form.
