On Wednesday 15 November five pupils from Year 8 and Year 9 visited Unilever in Port Sunlight as part of the Unilever Bright Futures Programme.
Pupils took part in five different workshops to find out about how Unilever develop their personal care products, from market research through to marketing a product. All of the pupils asked many questions and took full advantage of being exposed to STEM professionals.
The team will be working together with Mrs Halpin and Mr Jones between now and March 2018 to develop a product that is aimed to encourage children to clean their teeth twice a day. Throughout their day at Unilever the pupils related all of the workshops to their product, furiously scribbling notes to help them later on.
Unilever staff were delighted with the girls and their enthusiasm throughout the day.
