Year 10 pupils visit Edge Hill University
On Wednesday 21 March a group of Year 10 pupils visited Edge Hill University in Ormskirk. The pupils listened intently to an introductory talk from a member of staff about life at the University. This was followed by a talk from a current student who gave the pupils a real insight into life on campus. The talks were followed by a tour of the buildings and the grounds. Edge Hill has developed significantly in recent years and now boasts a campus that is the equal to any university in the country. The Upton staff and pupils on the visit were very impressed by the quality of the facilities and by the ongoing developments. This includes the announcement this week that Edge Hill will become the home to one of five new medical schools in the country by the year 2020. The visit ended with the pupils being treated to lunch in one of the campus restaurants - perhaps the best part of the trip!
