A taste of Andalucia

In February this year our Sixth Form Spanish students had the opportunity to visit the region of Andalucia in Southern Spain. We stayed with families from La Victoria, a small village near Cordoba.

During the week we spent in Andalucia, we visited Cordoba, Seville, Granada and Malaga. La Victoria is a small village, renowned for its festivals and tradition.

One of the most emblematic weeks of the year is the Carnival week. We were very fortunate to be there for such a special week, which the girls thoroughly enjoyed.

They also enjoyed the visits to the Picasso Museum in Malaga and the Mezquita in Cordoba.

It was a really enriching experience which we hope to repeat in the forthcoming years as we would like to establish a strong link with the community of La Victoria.

This will enable our Sixth Form students to experience the “real Spain” as they immerse themselves in the culture and the language of this beautiful place.
