Gee Walker visits Upton Hall School
Fundraising for the Anthony Walker Foundation
Gee Walker was invited to join the Upton Hall Wirral Way Sponsored Walk in June 2008 as the money being raised from the walk was to go to the Anthony Walker Foundation and specifically to help fund the production of a DVD to encourage young people to combat racism.
In February this year, Gee returned to Upton Hall School to collect a cheque for £500 which was the total raised from the sponsored walk.
She spent the morning with pupils from each year group and shared refreshments at morning break with a group of Year 11 girls in the Dining Room.
After break, she was delighted to listen to the Powerpoint presentation made by Year 11 pupils which impressed her so much that she intended to use it as part of a future presentation she would be making at the Home Office.
