Year 13 Going Down Mass Thursday 18 May 2017

The Year 13 ‘Going Down Mass’ took place at Sacred Heart Church, Moreton on Thursday 18 May.

Fr John Feeney celebrated Mass with a full church of students, parents and staff.  Year 13 chose the theme of ‘destinations’ this year, and the Mass provided a fitting, spiritual finale to the girls’ school life, as well as marking their future beyond Upton Hall.

Deputy Head Girl, Stephanie, read “Oh the places you will go” from Dr Seuss, which was followed by an original piece written by Deputy Head Girl, Jessica.   Music was provided by the Senior Choir with rousing renditions of “Oh Happy Day”, “I will be with you” and the school hymn, “The Magnificat”.  Head Girl, Alice, delivered a touching reflection of the girls time at Upton Hall.

It was an emotional yet uplifting event that marked the end of our students’ time in the Sixth Form.

We wish them well with their forthcoming examinations!
